Join us on the farm for a hands-on canning class designed to give you the confidence and skills to safely preserve food at home. This workshop covers both water-bath and pressure canning, including proper equipment, approved recipes, jar preparation, headspace, sealing, and storage. Whether you’re brand new to canning or looking to refine your technique, you’ll leave with practical knowledge, clear food-safety guidance, and a canned item you helped make. Taught in a small-group setting at Rustybelle Farms, this class focuses on real, traditional skills you can trust and use.
After this class, you will be able to:
Safely can food at home without guessing
Know exactly which foods require pressure canning (and why)
Avoid common mistakes that lead to spoilage or unsafe jars
Feel confident opening your own pantry of home-canned food
